STOMACH LOW GRADE DYSPLASIA

STOMACH LYMPHOCYTIC GASTRITIS

The red circles  point out  intraepithelial lymphocytes.

HISTOLOGICAL FINDINGS IN LYMPHOCYTIC GASTRITIS
1.-Lymphocytosis of foveolar and surface epithelium ,  greater than 25+ lymphocytes per 100 surface epithelial cells
2.- chronic inflammation in lamina propria

ILEUM: CYTOMEGALOVIRUS ENTERITIS

The red square show intranuclear inclusions in CMV-infected cells , Owl´s eye intranuclear inclusions.
HISTOLOGY FINDINGS OF CYTOMEGALOVIRUS ENTERITIS
1.-Ulcers in ileum deep and well demarcate
2.-Intranuclear basophilic inclusions surrounded by clear halo in enlarged endothelium and stromal cells at ulcer base

SESSILE SERRATED POLYP (AKA SESSILE SERRATED ADENOMA)

red square points out  basal dilation of the crypts,

red square  basal dilation of the crypts, and crypts that run horizontal to the basement membrane (horizontal crypts.

red square show basal crypt serration and  crypt branching

HISTOLOGICAL FINDINGS OF  SESSILE SERRATED POLYP
1.-Serrated architecture with basal dilation of the crypts and basal crypt serration,
2.- crypts that run horizontal to the basement membrane (horizontal crypts),
3.- crypt branching.
4.- Lack of nuclear dysplasia

COLON: INFLAMMATORY POLYP ( AKA PSEUDOPOLYP)

Left : red circle distorted crypt , Right : red arrow: granulation tissue
Sometimes, the inflammatory polyp consists only of granulation tissue, this is most common when the polyp is related to anatomosis

HISTOLOGICAL FINDINGS OF INFLAMMATORY POLYP
1.- Polyp composed of dilated, branched, and hyperplastic crypts with regenerative epithelium.
2.-Granulation tissue

COLON: HAMARTOMATOUS POLYP (INCLUDING PEUTZ JEGHERS POLYP)

Peutz Jegher polyp:Left picture shows polyp with papillary growth ; Right: red arrows indicates arborizing smooth muscle core

Sometimes, you can observed dystorted crypt, and hyperplastic change.

ANAL: CONDYLOMA ACUMINATUM

Black circles indicates binucleated cells, red arrow koilocytic cells.

Red arrow shows papillary fronds. Red circles: binucleated cells, green circle: koilocytic cells

HISTOLOGICAL FINDINGS OF CONDYLOMA ANAL
1.-Papillary  or exophytic growth pattern.
2.-Koilocytotic change: perinulcear halo surroun atypical nuclei.
3.-Binucleated cells.
4.-Parakeratosis
